About the Studio
KHAM Design Studio is an architectural and interior design practice based in Kolhapur, founded by Architect Vijay Dhondiram Patil, a registered architect with more than 30 years of experience in the field of architecture and construction.
Since starting his practice in 1994, the studio has worked on a wide range of projects including residential homes, housing developments, commercial buildings, office spaces, retail outlets and resorts. The focus has always been on thoughtful planning, efficient use of space and practical design solutions that work well in everyday life.
Over the years, Ar. Patil has also served as a visiting lecturer at architecture and interior design institutes in Kolhapur, sharing his experience with students and young professionals. He has been appointed as a Panel Architect for Shivaji University and has previously worked with STUP Consultants in New Delhi, gaining exposure to large scale design projects.
While the studio is based in Kolhapur, it has also undertaken projects in other cities depending on project requirements and client needs.
At KHAM Design Studio, design is not just about how a building looks. It is about understanding how people use space, how they live and work, and creating environments that are functional, comfortable and long-lasting.
The studio believes in responsible design, efficient planning and thoughtful architecture that improves the quality of everyday living.
Founder
Architect Vijay Dhondiram Patil is the founder and principal architect of KHAM Design Studio. A graduate of Shivaji University and a registered member of the Council of Architecture, he has been practicing architecture since 1994. Over the years, he has worked on a diverse range of residential, commercial and interior design projects. Alongside professional practice, he has also contributed to architectural education as a visiting lecturer at several institutions in Kolhapur.
As a panel architect for Shivaji University and with previous experience at STUP Consultants in New Delhi, his work reflects exposure to large-scale planning and a commitment to practical, long-lasting design.
